My school : Dow Hill Girls School situated atop a hill overlooking Mt Kanchenjunga (the Himalayan mountain ranges) in the little town of Kurseong, Darjeeling, northern India. It nestles against the aged pine trees. Whenever I see the photo nostalgia runs amok.
The memories of my school days spent in running around the gigantic corridors and creaky wooden stairways comes rushing to my mind. The musty smell of the old library and the books now ooze into my nose.
We used to play hide and seek against the mist. This school was built well over a 100 years ago during the British colonial era. The legend stills lives on. I left an emotional part of me there…..
